For Men
This is is a woman’s space full of a woman’s words covering a woman’s ideas. Men are welcome to read and learn but it is imperative that you remember that my purpose in life is not to educate you. If you find a concept here difficult to grasp, I can suggest Finally, A Feminism 101 Blog which is a great stepping-stone for learning more about feminism in general.
Please do not derail the conversation with hypotheticals and supercilious condescension. It is a waste of your time, as your comment will not even receive approval so nobody will see it. If you genuinely feel you have something of worth to contribute, please do. However, if it is misogynistic in any way, it will be deleted before it is even published. Remember, this is my space and I choose what is published and what isn’t.
On the whole remember that this is a woman’s place and you are here as a visitor only. Treat me and my fellow women with respect and everything will be fine. Treat us with disrespect and you will be shown the door.
ETA: I have received a couple of snide, sarcastic or just stupid comments on this page. Seriously dudes, it’s moderated. I’m not going to publish your comment if you’re being an idiot, end of story.

It’s harder than it looks being a man. By and large we aren’t as smart as you, we’re blinded by our hormones… we’re much more prone to violence, substance abuse… we don’t live as long as you do. The world we live in is no place for the sensitive… eyes and ears of male and female constantly being assaulted by noise and bad air, a cacophony of combustion. When we are young, they shove motor toys of all types at us and tell us it’s what we want, and we don’t dare say otherwise.
We’re not permitted to adore you the way we want.. we’re not taken to a ‘Church of the Goddess’ and told to kneel when we are three… the closest we’ve got is the strip club. But many of us are at our most aroused in the ‘reverse missionary’ position.
And here’s one thing I have to say about violence… nearly all most abusers were once direct victims or at least observers of it in a family setting before becoming practitioners. In other words, it’s an illness, and it’s contagious. The illness is the idea that ‘violence as a solution to problems is acceptable behavior’. Sadly, millions are walking around harboring that. Personally, my mental health took a marked turn for the better once I shed it. But I had to hit absolutely rock bottom in order to do that.

Mr. Mann’s comment is the most asinine and self-absorbed BS I’ve ever seen. Anji, you’ve left this comment on here and now I am going to have a prolonged migrane….
“It’s harder than it looks being a man…we don’t live as long as you do.”
Well at least that’s one good thing.

Well, I’m a guy, but I must admit we do have it alot eisier than women. Women have to have periods, birth babys and then heer us complain about how hard we have it. Then, they have to heer society say men are superior, even thou (and we dont admite it) we ALL rely know its the exact opposite. EVERY one knows women are smarter, and men don’t live as long wich PROOVES women are superior. I hate to admit it.

Lara, without an olive branch you and your views will always be marginalised.

Good on you, Mr. Mann. But AntiMisandry might be a better place to discuss your views. Feminists still scare me D:
