I went to a deviantART meet on Saturday and got talking to a man about life, the universe and everything (as I do). At one point we were talking about abortion and he brought out one of those tired old tropes: “I think it should be legal but it shouldn’t be used as birth control, you know those women who are having four, five, six abortions in a row. Just use a fucking condom!”
We’ve all heard things like this. Those of us who are part of the feminist and/or pro-choice community know there’s a reasonable counter-argument to this. I’m firmly of the opinion that for every illogical opposition to abortion there is a logical counter-argument. I wanted a place where all of those counter-arguments could be brought together in one place. So yesterday, Abortion 101 was born! 
From the site: “I don’t know about you, but I get tired of explaining the same logical answers to these illogical fallacies over and over again. This blog will hopefully be the answer. Here will be a list of all the common ‘arguments’ against abortion with detailed, logical smackdowns explaining just why those arguments are anti-woman, anti-child and just plain anti-logical.”
